2nd Half Marathon Prepping and Apera Bag Giveaway- Winner Announced!

First off…

happy

I hope each and every one of you have a wonderful Easter and get to enjoy it with your families.  I have enjoyed seeing all the Easter pictures on Facebook this morning! Here are a few pictures of our egg hunt this morning.  It was rather fun to watch as Taylor got very excited and kept shrieking in delight and of course Sis, with her big heart, kept leaving ones for him to find and helping him.  Love her tender heart!  (You should see her when she sees the foster care commercials on T.V.  She is a puddle of tears!)

Of course we had to have several egg hunts until my son lost interest in it.  He became more interested in helping Daddy work on the truck.

So this week marks my last week of tapering for my 2nd half marathon this year.  The Oklahoma City Memorial half.   This will be the one that my friend Jennifer has been training for since she started running last June.  I’m so excited to get to be a part of this with her.  I know how my reaction was when I completed it last year, so I’m curious to see what her’s is.  This is by far the best race I have ever completed.  The crowd outcome is amazing.  The  sentimental value behind the race itself and overall it is just a humbling experience.  I simply can’t wait to run it again this year.  I’m going to try to keep all my runs around 3 miles this week, every other day and still incorporate the 21 Day Fix and T25 in there and then after my 2nd half is over, I’m planning on starting T25 entirely on April 28th.  I’m also getting my daughter started on her training for her 5k that she has coming up May 9th.  She is determined to take 1st in her age group this race!  I told her we had about 3 weeks to prepare so that she would take her goal serious.  She did pretty good on her first training run last night!

So after the Easter festivities this morning, I got around to drawing the name for the Apera Sprint Pack.  The winner is Stephanie C!  Congrats!  Be on the lookout for an email from me!

Happy Easter everyone!  <3
