The Reading Runner

Other than running, one of my favorite past times is reading. I love to read various different genres now that I have my Nook. From best sellers to Sci fi to romance, suspense to autobiography/biography and even self help. Not to mention I absolutely NOT wait every month for my digital issues of my running magazines!



So since I have running AND reading on my brain and have had several people ask me if I read any good books on running, I figured I would grow three AWESOME books out there for you guys. Two out of the three would be enjoyable for ALL readers, the third, might be of more interest to runners/endurance athletes and ones that are fascinated by new takes on health, nutrition and the like.

The first book is called Second Wind: One Woman’s Midlife Quest to Run Seven Marathons on Seven Continents. This was by far my favorite book out of the three. Very heartfelt and relate able as a woman. Cami was a woman who went through a divorce and found peace and comfort in running. I could very much relate to this one.


The second book is called Pre. It’s written about the famous runner Steve Prefontaine. Amazing story and very inspirational in all areas, not just running.


The third book is called Racing Weight. I’m currently reading it but have found very informative already! (If you like that geeky, running sort of thing!)
